Corona Virus: What we’re doing about it.

In these unsettling times, with the Corona Virus impacting all levels of society both in health terms, and in terms of the risk mitigations being appropriately pursued by business, we felt it timely to communicate to our customers a little about what PorterVac is doing to both protect our customers, and our team while trying to responsibly continue to deliver service to clients.

What we are doing:

  • Gutter cleaning work will be completed with no direct customer contact. Please don’t consider us rude, but we’ll be trying to work on your roof without the need to shake hands and we will minimise the need for face to face contact. If the need to communicate with you arises, we will maintain a minimum 2-metre distance.
  • Rather than pay cash on-site, we ask that you please pay for your gutter cleaning either by Eftpos on the day or our preferred method is payment on the phone by credit card (we will contact you to facilitate this).
  • All non-urgent repairs or jobs involving the need for us to enter the home are being reviewed, while we assess the situation and the need to maintain these risk mitigation measures. We will be in contact with you to discuss sensible risk mitigations before we commence work.
  • Our team are being provided with hand sanitisers, and face masks where they need to meet with other members of the public or clients (kept to a minimum), to support the reduced chance of transmission, and as always – will be washing hands thoroughly before and after each job.

In summary, if you have a Gutter Cleaning job booked in with us, we expect to be able to complete the job as scheduled, but if your job involves more involved repairs, we’ll be in touch before we begin to discuss measures to ensure we are looking after you, and our team members.

We have implemented these measures as a sensible risk precaution, but we’ll be reviewing these daily as news and notifications from the relevant health authorities continues to provide us with guidance on the best approach to managing this serious problem.
